02|13|20 – We spent an unnecessary amount of time picking which video-editing software to start with. Everything seemed too complicated so we settled with LightWorks. Then we spent an unnecessary amount of time picking a song and somehow ended up with J’s favourite.
Notes:
- not enough establishing/walking/transit shots
- not everything can be done in post
- listening and identifying beats is hard
- J learned that we don’t just put music over our videos and finish within 5 min
- make sure we have all the videos on file so we’re not working with limited material
02|27|20 – Learning how to use keyboard shortcuts. Also we learned the difference between delete and remove. We discovered the rest of the Seong-su videos so we do have more material than I thought.
Notes:
- should have some type of plan before starting out so we don’t have to redo the beginning
- cue markers are the most important tool – they look like the hotels in Monopoly
